Bianca Ovalle, LMHC, ATR, is a dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Registered Art Therapist at The Community Lighthouse. With a profound commitment to helping families and children navigate their struggles, Bianca empowers her clients to realize that they are not alone and are fully capable of achieving their goals. Her approach is deeply rooted in the belief that everyone has the potential to heal and connect meaningfully with others, especially after facing challenges.
Originally from El Paso, Texas, Bianca pursued her academic passion for art and therapy in New Mexico, earning a Master’s Degree in Counseling/Art Therapy from Southwestern College in Santa Fe, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts. Her artistic skills not only enhance her therapeutic practices but also reflect her creative approach to problem-solving and therapy.
Bianca’s love for art extends beyond her professional life. She has been involved in art since the sixth grade and continues to nurture this passion. At home, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband, daughter, and their three pets—adding a dog and two cats to her lively household. Bianca also has a unique fascination with fairies, collecting various figurines that fill a special cabinet in her home.
At The Community Lighthouse, Bianca embodies our values of guiding children toward healing and wellness and investing in growth. Her innovative use of art therapy enriches our mission of empowering families, children, and professionals to heal trauma for generations to come, helping us advance our vision of healing the world, one child at a time.
