Mikaila Murphy
Community Support Worker
Meet Mikaila, a dedicated Community Support Worker at The Community Lighthouse. Her alignment with our core values—such as Guiding Children toward Healing and Wellness, Building Healthy Relationships, and Investing in Growth—alongside her commitment to our mission and vision, makes her an invaluable member of our team.
Mikaila's passion for mental health and social services guided her to us after she connected deeply with our mission, culture, and vision. With a background in political science and psychology from Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Missouri, she brings a broad perspective to her role, helping to empower and heal our community.
Originally from Lincoln, Nebraska, Mikaila moved to Albuquerque in 2018 to be closer to her family. This move not only brought her geographically closer to her loved ones but also to The Community Lighthouse, where she has found a professional family committed to our shared goal of healing trauma for generations to come.
In her personal time, Mikaila enjoys hiking, sightseeing, reading, and binge-watching her favorite TV shows. Her love for animals is evident in her adoption of Jorah, her Pit Bull, from a local shelter. Mikaila's diverse interests and dedication to personal and community growth perfectly embody our culture of showing up with our best selves so our patients can find their best selves. Welcome to the team, Mikaila, as we continue healing the world, one child at a time.
