Cathleen “Cat” Schubel

Community Support Worker - Program Supervisor

Cat is the CSW Program Supervisor at The Community Lighthouse in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where her deep commitment to enhancing community well-being shines brightly. With a heart for service and a background in social work from Salisbury University, Maryland, she has been a dynamic part of our team since relocating to New Mexico in 2016.

Her journey to TCL was driven by a desire to work in an environment where the team-focused mentality was not just present but vibrant. Cat believes in giving back to the community and enhancing the well-being of others, a mission that aligns seamlessly with TCL's goal to empower families, children, and professionals to heal trauma for generations to come.

utside of work, Cat’s life is filled with the joy of her four dogs and memories of traveling the world as a semi-professional soccer player. Her adventures on and off the field have shaped her approach to life and work, emphasizing humility, passion, and the importance of meeting people where they are.

At The Community Lighthouse, we're inspired by Cat's dedication to building healthy relationships, staying curious, and investing in growth, as we all work towards healing the world, one child at a time. She embodies our culture of showing up with our best selves, enabling our patients to find their best selves in the process.
